From New Orleans to Arkansas: Mexico Chiquito
This week we traveled to one of
Arkansas’s oldest and favorite Mexican restaurants: Mexico Chiquito! Mexico Chiquito has been serving central
Arkansas since 1935 with delicious Arkansas favorites like their tasty cheese
dip and refreshing punch. It’s no surprise
this restaurant has such a longstanding Arkansas history! Lots of history and delicious food-making in
its original location.
Mexico Chiquito now has five
locations: two in Little Rock… Cantrell
Road and a Mex-to-Go location on Markham.
They are also located in North Little Rock, Jacksonville, and
Conway. We visited the Cantrell Road
location and enjoyed delicious Mexican food and margaritas…Frozen and On The
Rocks!
We started off with two
Punch-a-ritas. Mexico Chiquito has found
something special with this delicious margarita. It combines Mexico Chiquito’s classic
margarita with their world famous punch!!
Available frozen and on the rocks. What could be better than two of the world’s
most perfect beverages combined???
We paired our Punch-A-Rita’s with
Mexico Chiquito’s fresh salsa and classic cheese dip…an Arkansas favorite!
Next up, it was time to try
Mexico Chiquito’s classic Margarita, their special mix of sweet and sour,
tequila, and Gran Gala…frozen and on the rocks!
Both were light, sweet, and refreshing, but really no match for the very
special Punch-a-Rita.
We paired our classic Margaritas
with Mexico Chiquito’s tasty, crunchy tacos.
In our opinion, Mexico Chiquito has one of Arkansas’s best tacos
around.
Their cheese dip taco is a must
try!!
No meal at Mexico Chiquito is
complete unless you finish it with their amazing fried ice cream!
Mexico
Chiquito has five locations in Conway, Jacksonville, Little Rock, & North
Little Rock. Each location is open
daily. They are on Facebook and Twitter
and often run promotions and coupons on their page, so following is very
beneficial to your wallet and taste buds.
They are also on the web at http://www.mexicochiquito.net/index.shtml.
We are going
back to New Orleans next week so stay tuned!
Happy sipping!
Salud!
